Saudi SABER certification
Product range:
SABER certification is a platform launched by Saudi SASO to issue certificates of conformity online. In December 2018, Saudi Arabia's Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Quality (SASO) issued an urgent notice that its certified online operating platform, SABER, will be mandatory from January 12, 2019.
The original transition period from January 1 to February 1, 2019 has been revised to January 1, 1, all medium and high-risk products must hold a certificate of conformity issued by the SABER platform before they can be cleared at Saudi Customs. Saudi SASO stressed that all product testing institutions should comply with the requirements of the platform, issue a product COC certificate after meeting the standards, and all imports and exports and manufacturers must use the corresponding product certificate issued by the saber platform to complete import and export and sales. At the same time, any non-platform issued product certificates will no longer be accepted.
