Electromagnetic Radiation Tolerance Test (RS) - Suzhou LCS Standard

Product range:

Electromagnetic Radiation Resistance Test (RS)

Overview of radiated immunity (RS).

This standard mainly introduces the international standard IEC61000-4-3:2006, corresponding to the national standard GB/T17626.3:2006 "electromagnetic compatibility test and measurement technology radio frequency electromagnetic field radiation immunity" test method.

Radiated immunity test purpose and application

The main sources of disturbance covered by this standard are electromagnetic fields generated from radio frequency radiation sources in the frequency range of 80MHz-2000MHz or more. For example, radio stations, television stations, fixed or mobile radio transmitters and electromagnetic fields generated by various industrial radiation sources (the upper limit frequency of the standard has been increased to 6000MHz, which is related to the frequency of wireless communication equipment currently used, many wireless communication equipment use 2.4GHz or 5.6GHz frequency). Electrical and electronic equipment operating in this electromagnetic field will be affected by the electromagnetic field, which will affect the normal operation of the equipment. Therefore, the purpose of this standard is mainly to establish a public reference for evaluating the performance of RF electromagnetic field radiated immunity, and to provide a basic reference for professional technical committees or users and manufacturers of relevant products.

A common term for RF electromagnetic field radiated immunity (RS) testing

(1) Anechoic chamber

A shielded chamber where absorbing material is installed to reduce radio wave reflection on the inner surface

(2) Semi-anechoic chamber

Except for the ground-mounted reflective grounding plate, the rest of the inner surface is equipped with a shielded chamber of absorbing material.

(3) Antenna

A device that transmits the power of an RF signal source into space or receives electromagnetic energy in space and converts it into an electrical signal.

(4) Far field

The power density generated by the antenna is approximately an area of the electromagnetic field that is inversely proportional to the square of the distance.

(5) Field strength

Field strength is used for far-field measurements, which can be electric or magnetic field components, which can be expressed as V/m, A/m, or W/m².

(6) Polarization

The direction of the electric field vector that radiates the electromagnetic field.

(7) Scanning

Continuous or step sweep over a frequency range.

Ø Class 1: Low electromagnetic radiation environment. Broadcasters/radio/television stations and low-power transmitters/receivers located 1km away are typically low.

Ø Class 2: Moderate electromagnetic radiation environment. The use of low-power portable transmitter receivers (typically rated less than 1W) but limited to use close to equipment is a typical commercial environment.

Ø Class 3: Harsh electromagnetic emission environment. Portable transmitter receiver (typical rating 2W or larger) that can be used close to the device, but at a distance of less than 1m. There are high-power broadcast transmitters and industrial, scientific and medical equipment near the equipment, which is a typical industrial environment.

Ø × category: × is the level of openness specified by negotiation or product specifications and product standards.
