MEPS registration
Products within the scope of energy efficiency regulations must be registered and labeled before being put on the market, and the products applied for registration must meet the relevant minimum standard requirements. The application is accepted by the government regulatory agency, which can be made to the competent authorities of the local state/district or to the competent authorities of other states/districts (NSW, VIC, QUEENSLAND, SA). All states/districts recognize the results of registration in other states/districts.
Application conditions
The product is tested according to the relevant standards in Part 1 and meets the performance standards in Part 2;
For products that are included in the minimum energy performance standard management, they must also comply with the MEPS requirements of Part 2;
Manufacturer's sample testing (accredited ISO17025 testing agency)
Water heater products should comply with MEPS requirements;
Australia's domestic or applicant's authorized agent in Australia.

Apply in writing to the registration agency and pay the registration fee

Approved testing agency for testing. Only by ensuring the accuracy of testing can we ensure the energy consumption and comprehensive performance of the product. These test information are used to calculate the kilowatt hour or annual kilowatt hour power of electrical products, corresponding to the corresponding star rating. Electrical products must comply with the relevant performance standards of Australian standards before being labeled with energy efficiency level labels.
Submit a written application and its attachments to the registration agency, and pay the registration fee. The application includes:
Written application form;
An explanation from the applicant or authorized representative that the product meets relevant standards;
According to the test results and calculations specified in the second part of the relevant standards;
Samples of electrical identification to be used;
Test reports in the format specified by the corresponding standards.
Product category
Registration and identification, applicable to 5 types of household electrical products: refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, and air conditioners.
The water heater is only registered with MEPS.
