Voltage flicker test - Suzhou LCS standard

Product range:

Voltage flicker test

Introduction to voltage fluctuations and flicker

The EMC limit limits the voltage variation, voltage fluctuation and flicker generated by each device with a rated current less than or equal to 16A and unconditionally connected equipment in the utility low-voltage power supply system.

GB17626.2/EN61000-3-2 This section applies to electrical and electronic equipment with each input current less than or equal to 16A, intended to be connected to a public low-voltage distribution system with a phase voltage of 220V to 250V, a frequency of 50Hz, and an unconditional connection.

Short-term scintillation value measurement of Pat

The short-term scintillation value Pat is specified in IEC61000-4-15:2003.

Table 1 shows the alternative Pat evaluation methods that can be selected according to different voltage fluctuation types:

Voltage fluctuation and flicker test limits

Some of the limits apply to voltage fluctuations and flicker at the power supply of the device under test and are measured or calculated in accordance with Chapter 6 under the test conditions specified in Chapter 4 and Annex A. Tests that demonstrate compliance with limit values are considered type tests.

The following limits apply:

The value is not greater than 1.0;

The value is not more than 0.65;

The time when the d(t) value exceeds 3.3% during the voltage change is not more than 500ms;

The relative steady-state voltage change DC does not exceed 3.3%;

The maximum relative voltage change dmax does not exceed:

a) 4%, no strings attached;

b) 6%, the equipment is:

- Manual switch, or

- Automatic switching more than 2 times a day, with a delay to restart after a power interruption (delay not less than tens of seconds), or manually restart again.

Note: The frequency of the cycle will be further limited by Pat and Plt limits, e.g. for a rectangular voltage change characteristic that produces 6 times per hour with 2% dmax, a Plt value of approximately 0.65 will be given.

C) 7%, the equipment is:

- Supervised while in use (e.g., hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, kitchen equipment such as blenders, gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, portable tools such as electric drills) or

- Automatic switch or manual switch no more than 2 times a day, and after the power interruption, there is a delay to restart (delay not less than tens of seconds) or manual restart.

For devices conforming to 6.6 with several separate control circuits, only after a power interruption there is a delay to restart, limits b) and c) apply; for all devices with automatic switches that can be immediately operated after a power interruption, limit values a) apply; for all manual switchgear, limit values b) and c) apply depending on the frequency of the switch.

Pat and Plt requirements do not apply to voltage changes caused by manual switching.

These limits are not suitable for emergency switching or emergency interruptions.
