DLC Registration
DesignLights Consort, DLC is a joint organization composed of utility companies and regional performance agencies, which is in a position to certify the quality and performance of high-efficient lighting. The goal of DLC is to promote the popularization of high-quality and energy-efficient lighting designs in all commercial lighting fields. The DLC certified product catalog is used by utility companies to promote high-performance solid-state lighting fixtures that are not yet covered by the Energy Star standard across the United States.
Notes for applying for DL:
1. UL standard reports are required: UL, ETL, MET, etc. can be done, as long as the test reports are made using UL standard;
2. Lamp bead LM-80 report is required, if not available. The entire lamp needs to be 6000H and meet the requirements for light attenuation;
3. The product should comply with the LM-79 report required by DLC parameters, which includes LM, CCT, CRI, spotlight ratio, lifespan claim, and most importantly, the spotlight ratio requirement;
4. Special attention: Regarding the application for lamp tubes, two LM-79 reports need to be made, one for bare lamps and one for LM-79 with brackets;
5. Improvement of other materials, specifications, etc;
DLC needs to submit the following documents:
Product specification, LM-79 report, IES file, UL report, Option 1 (LM-80 report+TM-21Excel+In situTMP etc) Option 2 (0 hour and 6000HLM-79 report) warranty statement (minimum 5 years warranty). Please also fill out the corresponding DLC form.
