REACH registration

Product range:

 REACH registration
REACH registration refers to the process of registering chemical substances in the European Chemical Registry (C&L Inventory) of the European Chemical Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction Regulations (REACH) in accordance with the requirements of the European Chemical Administration (ECHA). According to REACH regulations, all chemical substances manufactured or imported within the EU with a volume of 1 ton/year or more must undergo REACH registration.
Registration steps:
1. Confirm the identity and properties of the chemical substance: It is necessary to determine the name, CAS number, physical and chemical properties, manufacturing process, and other information of the chemical substance. This information will be used for registration applications and the preparation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
2. Assessing the risks of chemical substances: It is necessary to assess the risks of chemical substances, including their harmfulness, exposure pathways, exposure levels, and other aspects. This information will be used to determine the registration type of chemical substances and develop risk control measures.
3. Preparation of Material Safety Technical Instructions (SDS): It is necessary to prepare an SDS that provides a detailed description of the properties, hazards, and safety operation recommendations of chemical substances. SDS is one of the necessary files for REACH registration.
4. Determine registration type: It is necessary to determine the applicable registration type based on the properties and risk assessment results of the chemical substance. According to REACH regulations, registration types are divided into three types: high-risk chemicals (CMR, PBT, vPvB, etc.), chemicals of 1 ton/year or above, and low-risk chemicals.
5. Submit registration application: You need to register an account on the website of the European Chemical Administration (ECHA) and submit a registration application. The application includes basic information, material identity and nature, SDS, registration type, etc. The registration application needs to be submitted before the specified deadline, otherwise the chemical will not be available for sale in the EU market.
6. Complete registration: ECHA will review the registration application and issue a registration certificate after passing the review. Chemicals will be assigned a unique registration number and added to the European Chemical Registry.
The time and cost of REACH registration depend on factors such as the nature of the chemical substance, registration type, and registration level. Generally speaking, the registration cost and time for high-risk chemicals will be higher. If there is no experience, enterprises can consider entrusting a professional REACH certification service agency to collect certification for application and management, to ensure that the application can proceed smoothly and be approved.
