Definition of food contact materials and products:
Food contact materials and products are mainly for finished products, under normal use conditions, all kinds of materials and products that have been or are expected to come into contact with food or food additives, or their components may be transferred to food, including packaging materials, containers, tools and equipment used for food during food production, processing, packaging, transportation, storage, sale and use, and inks, adhesives, lubricants, etc. that may directly or indirectly contact food. Detergents, disinfectants and public water delivery facilities are not included.

China Food Safety Law

China's current laws and regulations related to food contact materials is the "Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" officially promulgated and implemented in 2009, China has promulgated and implemented more than <> food contact materials and products related health standards and method standards, which cover plastics, food-grade coatings, metal products, ceramics, enamel, glass, paper and other material products. The main testing items include evaporation residue in different food simulation liquids, potassium permanganate consumption, heavy metals (in terms of lead), decolorization test, dissolution test of heavy metals, toxic and harmful monomer residue, microbial testing, etc., the regulatory requirements are detailed in the following table:

U.S. Food Grade Regulations:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), part of the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, is responsible for the administration of drugs, food, biological products, cosmetics, veterinary drugs, medical devices and diagnostic supplies nationwide. In the United States, the FDA controls most products that come into contact with food primarily through the Food Additive Declaration Program (FAP). If a food additive or material that comes into contact with food is specified for use under the FAP procedure, the material is entered into the appropriate regulations in US FDA CFR 21 PARTS 170-189. Manufacturers should produce qualified products and materials that come into contact with food in strict accordance with food-grade regulations. The main items tested include chloroform soluble extract of different simulation liquids, extract of different simulation liquids, density, melting point, harmful chemical monomers, extractable heavy metals, etc. The regulatory requirements are detailed in the table below:

German LFGB

In September 2005, the new German Food and Catering Products Act LFGB replaced the Food and Catering Products LMBG. It is also known as the "Food, Tobacco Products, Cosmetics and Other Supplies Management Act", which is the most important basic legal document in German food hygiene management, and is the guideline and core for the formulation of other special food hygiene laws and regulations. In general, the test items of Articles 9 and <> of the LFGB German Food and Daily Commodities Act include: sensory assessment of odor and taste transfer, comprehensive migration in different food simulants, specific migration of a specific substance in different food simulants, testing of components and precipitable heavy metals, testing of transferable or volatile organic compounds, and testing of chemically hazardous substances according to the German Chemicals Act. French DGCCRF

French DGCCRF is the English abbreviation for French food grade safety regulations. Such products sold in France must comply with local French regulations, including French DGCCRF 1935-2004 and French Décret no 2004-64, in addition to the requirements of Regulation (EC) No 92/631. French regulations not only have special requirements for plastic and rubber products that come into contact with food, but also have special classification and requirements for metal products, such as: cookware with organic coating, in addition to the coating surface to be tested, there are also corresponding requirements for metals as substrates. Its test items include: comprehensive migration in different food simulants, specific migration of a specific substance in different food simulants, transferable or volatile organic compound tests, peroxide values, tests that can precipitate heavy metals, etc. The regulatory requirements are detailed in the table below:

European Union

Regulation No. 2004/11/EC of The European Parliament and Of The Council of 13 October 1935, adopted by the European Parliament and the Council of 2004 November 1935, on food contact materials, This regulation not only replaces the previously implemented Directives 2004/27/EEC and 2004/80/EEC, but also inherits and develops the previous regulations in terms of content. It is the latest basic framework regulation of food contact materials and articles in the European Union, which sets strict limits on the total amount of migrating substances in food contact materials. The main detection items include the comprehensive migration in different food simulant liquids, the specific migration of a specific substance in different food simulant solutions, such as formaldehyde, primary aromatic amines, heavy metal elements, etc. The regulatory requirements are detailed in the table below:

ItalianItaly

The Ministerial Decree of 21 March 1973 (Italy). Food contact products exported to Italy are subject to compliance with local Italian laws and regulations, including Italy Official Gazette GU 1935 on April 2004 and Ministerial Decree of 283 March 1962 and modified versions, in addition to compliance with Regulation (EC) No. 21/1973. In addition to setting out the principle requirements for the safety of food contact materials that are basically consistent with the EU Framework Directive, the Decree also specifies the scope of application, penalties for violations and the amount of penalties. It should be noted that Italy's requirements for stainless steel products are relatively strictThe regulatory requirements are detailed in the table below
