Kenya PVOC certification
Product range:
In order to ensure the quality of imported products and the health and safety of Kenyans and the protection of the environment, compliance with Kenyan technical regulations and mandatory standards or approved equivalent standards. The Kenya Standards Authority (KEBS – the statutory body of the Government of Kenya responsible for the development and implementation of standards for imported and domestically produced products for the Kenyan market) implements the Pre-Export Verification of Conformity to Standards (PVoC) program for goods imported into the country. All goods in the PVoC catalogue must obtain a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) issued by a KEBS authorized body before shipment.
How to obtain Kenya CoC certification
1. Method: product testing and inspection Each batch of export goods must be sampled or tested or provided with recognized laboratory test reports or certificates before shipment, and pre-shipment inspection.
2. Loading supervision: Starting from September 2016, 9, all goods entering Kenya KEBS require the implementation of PVOC certificate issued by the container supervision and sealing to normal customs clearance, and the fee standard shall not exceed 1 yuan per container.
PVOC certification fee standard
1. Inspection/inspection fee
0.5% of the FOB value of the shipped goods, minimum fee: USD250/order, maximum USD2375/order
2. Testing fee
According to the different product and testing requirements (applicable standards), each inspection instruction is quoted separately
3. Loading fee
Each cabinet does not exceed 500 RMB, and the detailed fee is determined according to the packing time, the number of cabinets, and the place of supervision
4. Agency fee
Evaluate according to the complexity of the inspection
PVOC certification business process:
1. CTB customer service staff provides electronic data package to customers (including: Kenya PVOC introduction, PVOC application form (template), etc.);
2. The customer submits relevant materials (including but not limited to: test report (see precautions for details of test report requirements), PVOC application form, import declaration form, packing list, invoice, etc.) to CTB customer service staff, and make an appointment for inspection and loading supervision time (please two to three working days in advance);
3. CTB reviews customer information and confirms inspection and loading supervision time with customers;
4. CTB customer service staff will send a charge notice and inspection notice to the customer on the working day before the inspection, and notify the customer inspector information; The customer shall return the signed and sealed inspection notice by mail on the same day; Please send the return of the charge advice together with the payment slip to CTB Finance before the issuance of the certificate to arrange the invoicing and certificate mailing;
5. CTB inspectors shall carry out on-site cargo inspection and loading supervision according to the agreed time;
6. If the inspection data needs to be updated, the customer needs to submit the final information to the CTB customer service staff on the day of the completion of the inspection;
7. After receiving the customer's final information, the customer service staff will send the draft COC to the customer for verification and confirmation within two working days;
8. After the certificate is confirmed and the payment is received, it will be issued by Kenya in about 2-3 working days and sent in China within 5-7 working days.
Kenya COC certification and PVOC certification difference:
The full name of COC certification is a declaration of conformity, which has different manifestations in different countries, and its three countries in the Middle East and Africa Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda are called PVOC certification. Therefore, Kenya COC certification = Kenya PVOC certification.
