Product range:
In October 2016, the former Information and Communications Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), The Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and the Media Development Authority (MDA) of Singapore have been restructured as the Information Communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the Government Technology Agency (GovTech)
There are the following updates regarding certification requirements:
Certificate:
IMDA will update the certificate on the system, but it does not affect IDA certificates obtained before October 1, 2016;
Starting from October 1, 2016, all certificates will be issued by IMDA.
Label requirements:
All products certified before October 2016 can continue to use the old Label
All products certified after October 1, 2016 must use a new IMDA compliant label before September 30, 2017
