Iraq COC Certification

According to Article 8 of Chapter 3 of Iraqi Law No. 54, the Central Organization for Quality Control of Iraq (COSQC) will implement a pre import inspection, testing, and certification program (ICIGI) aimed at restricting the import of substandard, counterfeit, and substandard products into Iraq and protecting its domestic consumers, producers, environment, and public safety. The Central Organization for Quality Control of Iraq (COSQC) has implemented a pre export inspection, testing, and certification program (ICIGI) for goods exported to Iraq. This project will start on May 1, 2011. All products within the scope of the pre import inspection, testing, and certification program (ICIGI) in Iraq must be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) or Release Note when imported into Iraq. The product conformity certificate is a document required for customs clearance of goods, used for customs clearance of goods in Iraq.
