QI Registration
Product range:
Qi certification is launched by WPC, the world's largest wireless charging alliance, aiming to standardize the wireless charging of all devices, and is the most mainstream certification for wireless charging.
To apply for Qi certification for wireless charging products, the enterprise first needs to apply to become a WPC member, and then apply for Qi registration certification for specific products after becoming a member.
The specific process for applying for WPC membership is as follows:
Step 1: Log in to the WPC Wireless Charging Alliance official website, website: https://www.wirelesspowerconsortium.com/
Step 2: Click on "MEMBERSHIP" at the top of the homepage and select "How to join the WPC Wireless Charging Alliance"
Step 3: After clicking, it will jump to the registration page and fill in the registration information according to the Chinese guidelines. When registering, the first step is to choose the membership level you want to apply for. It should be noted that you should first refer to the permissions and annual membership fees for different levels of members introduced in "How to Join the WPC Wireless Charging Alliance", and then make a selection based on the actual needs of the enterprise.
Step 4: After filling in the registration information, click "Apply for membership" to submit the application. Within 2 working days, you will receive an email from the WPC official confirming the information and providing a quotation. After confirming that there are no issues with the information, reply via email. Customer service will send a formal quotation within 3 working days and complete payment based on the quotation.
Step 5: After the payment is completed, WPC will apply for membership registration within 3 working days. After approval, an email will be sent to the customer to log in and set their password. The customer clicks on the link to set their password. After the password is set, the WPC member registration is completed. Log in and click on "Member Login" on the homepage of the WPC website.
The Qi registration and certification process for applying for wireless charging products is as follows:
Step 1: The product manufacturer submits a form online (fill in product related information) to initiate the registration process, upload images, and self declaration form.
Step 2: Qi Identification License Administrator (LLA) reviews the self declaration form, which is usually completed within 2 working days. You can access the WPC account to view the review status. If there are no issues with the review, proceed to the next step. If the review is not successful, you can modify and re upload the review based on the issues raised by LLA.
Step 3: Product Compliance Testing: WPC authorizes a compliance testing laboratory to conduct mandatory compliance testing as specified in the testing specifications and upload the test report.
Step 4: Product compatibility testing: Conduct compatibility testing in the laboratory. Before testing, the manufacturer needs to pay the fees (which can be paid online or remitted to the account provided by the WPC).
Step 5: The manufacturer finalizes the final product information. Upload images to display the appearance of the product when shipped to the customer, and provide the final model of the product.
Step 6: Qi identifies the completeness and consistency of the license administrator's review information. If there are no issues, the product will generally be displayed in the product registration database within 3-5 working days. At this point, the "View product" that enters the account can be downloaded to the registered Qi certificate.
