Product range:
Japan's DENTORL Law (Electrical Devices and Materials Control Act) stipulates that 498 products entering the Japanese market must pass safety certification. Among them, 112 Class A products should obtain Linghang certification, and 340 Class B products should obtain Yuanhang certification.
(1) PSE directory list
According to the DENTORL law, 340 Class B products are divided into 7 parts:
1. Simple wiring sleeve and junction box
2. Simple single-phase motor between 100V-300V
3. Household electric heating products
4. Household electric or video game products
5. Civil or household products using light sources
6. Household and commercial electronic products
7. Other electrical products between 100V-300V
From April 2001, 4, the "Electrical Products Control Act (DENTORL)" was officially renamed the "Electrical Product Safety Act (DENAN)", which is different from the previous regulatory system of the agreement control, the new system will be used by unofficial institutions to ensure the safety of products.
Class A: Specified electrical equipment and material products
All products belonging to the "Specific Electrical Appliances" catalog, entering the Japanese market, must be certified by a third-party certification body authorized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, and obtain a certification certificate, the difference is on the label with a diamond-shaped PSE logo, as shown in the figure:

Class B: Other electrical equipment and material products
All products belonging to the "non-specific electrical appliances" catalog, entering the Japanese market, must undergo self-testing to confirm that they meet the Japanese electrical appliances technical standards, or entrust a third-party certification body to test and obtain a certification certificate, the difference is on the label with a round PSE logo, as shown in the figure:

(2) Technical information:
The Japanese voltage is AC 100V/50Hz, 100V/60Hz
PSE will perform a factory inspection (to check whether there are relevant test instruments and their suitability), but there is no follow-up inspection. Since each certification body cooperates with different objects in China, the agency responsible for factory inspections in China is different. For example, JQA's cooperation object is the China Import and Export Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
(3) The following units may apply for proof of conformity with the PSE mark:

Supplier can only be Japanese manufacturer/importer,
and METI shall be deemed to be liable after obtaining the Certificate of Conformity and affixing the PSE mark. A foreign manufacturer cannot be a notified supplier, but must provide a valid certificate of conformity issued by the qualified ACAB from the Japanese importer.
