Qatar COC Certification
Product range:
When exporting automotive parts, tires, and some electronic products to Qatar, a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is required for import clearance. The Qatar government, through the Qatar Department of Commerce and Trade (Consumer Protection Department) and the Qatar Standards and Metrology Organization (QGOSM), has issued a series of strict regulations for automotive parts and tires.
Qatar exporters need to understand the strict regulations implemented for automotive parts and tires and obtain compliance certificates. Currently, some electronic products are also included.
The local government issued a statement stating that "regulated products can only be imported for customs clearance after submitting a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) issued by an authorized certification agency in the country of origin." The government also stated that "if imported products are found to not comply with Gulf Standards Organization (GSO) standards, the importer will be fined heavily
Intertek is a certification body authorized and recognized by the Qatar Organization for Standardization and Metrology (QGOSM), authorized to participate in product conformity certification projects and issue conformity certificates (CoCs) for exported goods.
